28.12.2016 The Final Issue of the “BINTEL. Geopolitical Analytics Journal” Has Been Published

The last week of 2016 saw Issue 4 of the journal of geopolitical analytics “Bintel” published by the creative team of the Independent Analytical Centre for Geopolitical Studies “Borysfen Intel”. This time, readers have an opportunity to read the editorial article “Peculiarities of the Development of the Geopolitical Situation in the World in 2016 and the New Challenges and Threats to Global Security in 2017 in the Context of Ukraine's National Interests and Security”, which thoroughly analyzes world events, one way or another related to our state; to learn about the impressions of Ambassador of China to Ukraine Du Wei, who kindly agreed to an interview with “Bintel” (published under the title “Ukraine Will Be Able to Play an Important Role in the Project” One Belt — One Road“); to see the events in the ATO zone through the eyes of Director of the Foreign Policy Institute of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Hryhoriy Perepelytsya whoreports on the losses of the sides in the combat actions in the Donbas in his article “On the Results of the Russian-Ukrainian War in Donbas”; to take a reality check of Ukraine's chances for membership in the EU, about which is the article “Joining Europe Requires Successful Economic Development and Restructuring the Domestic Life” by Director of the Institute of World History of the NAS of Ukraine, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Andriy Kudryachenko; as well as to reflect with the historian Serhiy Rudyuk on the reasons for our tensions with Russia, proceeding at this from the facts set out in the correspondence “Ukraine Must Be Armed as Long as Russia Is Armed”.

An attentive reader will agree that each of these materials, one way or another has to do with current events in our country. That is, their relevance is unquestionable. How could it be otherwise, if onto Ukraine's shoulders has fallen a heavy burden of public problems, to cope with which it must strain every sinew. But the authors are trying to make their views known, to specify the ways and means of overcoming these problems, to warn against errors or plain carelessness with historical facts. In such a way they call not to repeat the mistakes of the past and to do our best to pass into the hands of our young generation a strong Ukrainian state. About this is the story about the new course of study at the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, one of the authors of which is the President of “Borysfen Intel” Victor Hvozd. By the way, he is the teacher of this course at the above-mentioned educational institution.

We believe that it is necessary to list the names of the sections and subsections of the editorial article “Peculiarities of the Development of the Geopolitical Situation in the World in 2016 and the New Challenges and Threats to Global Security in 2017 in the Context of Ukraine's National Interests and Security”, which sums up 2016:
