The USA's obvious military-technological superiority, as always, was met by Russians traditionally: with a dispute — whose missile is better?
After the precision strike of the destroyers “Ross” and “Porter”(class Arly Burke) of the US Navy in the early hours of April 7, 2017, from the Mediterranean Sea by 59 cruise missiles “Tomahawk” on the Syrian air base Shayrat (Homs province) — there was a wave of “applause” in the social networks. Taking into consideration the attitude of the overwhelming majority of adequate people to the Syrian and Russian regimes — this is absolutely normal. First of all, it was perceived as a manifestation of the United States' technological superiority. But, how does the land lie in reality?
Russia often recalls the “enchanting” missile strike of four ships of the Caspian flotilla of the Russian Navy (“Dagestan”, “Grad Sviyazhsk”, “Veliky Ustyug” and “Uglich”) on the same Syria on 7 April, 2015. 26 launches of cruise missiles of the Caliber type (Caliber-NK) were launched against 11 positions of the Islamic State in Syria. But were they really successful? The US media, citing US intelligence, reported about at least four Russian missiles that fell uncontrollably into Iran.
So whose missile is better: Russian or American?
Taking into consideration the above-mentioned, Ukrinform thoroughly studied the characteristics of both missiles, asked the military experts and found out who was really stronger: Putin's “Caliber” or Trump's “Tomahawk”.
This question to the reporter of the agency Myroslav Liskovych was also commented on by the Vice President of the Independent Analytical Center for Geopolitical Studies “Borysfen Intel”, Candidate of Military Sciences, Associate Professor, Lieutenant-General of the Reserve Yuriy Radkovets, who expressed his opinion on this issue, which is difficult to disagree with.
