Soviet-Putin National Policy in the Crimea (specially for MIA “Russia Today”)

With all the “concern” about the “tank support” to their “peaceful” allies from the Donetsk, Luhansk, Lisichansk and other pseudo-republics, the head of the Kremlin and his information army have lost sight of the ethno-national situation in the annexed Crimea, clearly indicating together with the South Ossetian and Abkhazian “pictures”, of how Putin in a special way “worries” about the development of the living in the “Great Russia” nations and nationalities. Let's try and give s... (not Sir) Dmitry Kiselev a few facts about the “allies of Moscow” for him to use them in his “highly analytical” packages for “News of the Week”.

The Russian FSB strategy is aimed at splitting the Crimean Tatar national movement with further replacement of pro-Ukrainian leaders and creation of puppet structures subordinated to Russia's special services

According to the Kremlin, the Majlis keeps playing a key role in shaping socio-political and, in particular, pro-Ukrainian sentiments among the Crimean Tatars. Therefore, federal and puppet Crimean structures have been tasked to neutralize the Crimean Tatar factor. To fulfill Putin's whim, special services, state authorities of the Russian Federation, media and diplomatic factors are willing to cooperate even with radical Islamist organizations, Chechen and other militant groups, as well as to consciously create the ground for ethnic conflicts between Crimean Tatars and Russians, especially Cossacks.

As reported by insiders, the Russian FSB strategy is aimed at splitting the Crimean Tatar national movement with further replacement of pro-Ukrainian leaders and creation of puppet structures subordinated to Russia's special services, as well as increasing the role of controlled Russian Islamist organizations in the Crimea.

To discredit the recognized national leader M. Dzhemilev, who consistently advocates the refusal to cooperate with the occupation authorities, as well as to marginalize the Crimean Tatar national movement, Russian leaders, manipulating with prospects of Crimean Tatar communities' participation in government and distribution of the Russian financial aid, are trying to fully support and promote activities led by controlled by the Kremlin formations — Crimean Tatar National Front (CNF) and the party “Milliy Fırqa” headed by V.Abduraimov.

Apart from the latter, the FSB now actively feeds a CNF member, Chairman of the organization “Crimea Generation” R. Balbek as a possible candidate for a “new” leader of the Crimean Tatars, as opposed to the current leadership of Medjlis, as well as the newly appointed Vice-Speaker of the so-called Council of State of the Crimea R. Ilyasov, seeking selfish motives to take advantage of the Kremlin's interest in creating new controlled structures.

Moreover, contrary to the Russian intellectual tradition and practices of struggle against Islamic fundamentalism in the North Caucasus, FSBmen are “friends” with representatives of Salafi movements in the Crimea (supporters of Habashizm, Wahhabism, the party “Hizb ut-Tahrir” and the religious organization “Al-Takfir wal-Hijra”) and the organized out of ethnic Tatars criminal gang “Imdat”, which is used to provoke destructive processes among moderate and pragmatic part of the Crimean Tatar people.

Russian authorities, with the support of the Crimean puppet government officials, including so-called “Deputy Prime Minister” R. Balbek, also plans to soon substantially increase the impact on the peninsula of Russian Islamic organizations — the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the European Russia (Chairman of the Council of Muftis — Sheikh R. Gaynetdin), the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia (Grand Mufti of Russia T.Tadzhuddin), Coordinating Center of Muslims of the North Caucasus (Mufti I.Berdiev), Russian Association of Islamic Accord (Mufti M. Khuzin).

Major efforts of the mentioned Russian Muslim structures will focus on leveling the influence and further elimination of the most authoritative among Muslims of the Peninsula- Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Crimea and its leader — Mufti E.Ablayev, who does not agree to the idea of creating a pro-Russian Crimea Islamic institution of higher education.

In this context, it is also planned to substantially increase financial and ideological support to the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the Crimea (SBMC) headed by Mufti R. Veliyev. The direct impact on the organization's leaders is supposed to be done by Tatarstan President R. Minnikhanov, SBMC will lobby for Russian interests, primarily in areas of dense living of the Crimean Tatars in Yevpatoria and Saki regions of the Crimea with further spread of such activities to other areas.

According to the Kremlin's plan, not less effective element of Russia's strategy to neutralize the pro-Ukrainian Crimean Tatar national movement will be opposition to the Crimean Tatars of representatives of the Chechen ethnos. Now has started the implementation of the major long-term program of populating the northern part of the ARC, primarily of Dzhankoi and Krasnoperekopskiy districts with Chechen retired military, including of the so-called “Vostok” battalion.

Will continue the practice of sending to the peninsula emissaries of Tatarstan, Bashkiria and Chechnya for agitation of the Crimean Tatars to take Russian citizenship and will be made attempts to undermine the cohesion of the Crimean Tatar people and to break its ties with our country.

As a counterweight to the growing consolidation and potential of the Crimean Tatar community, the Kremlin administration is considering (in the spirit of its instigators of Stalinist-Soviet school) Cossack organizations, ranging from the Crimean Cossack Union, Tauride Cossack military society, “Glory and Freedom” and ending with exotic villagers- householders, who have received orders to unite in the face of the “Crimean Tatar threat.”

In the East of Ukraine Vladimir Putin and the FSB are also focusing on Chechen gunmen and the Russian Cossacks

And that is symptomatic: in the East of Ukraine Vladimir Putin and the FSB are also focusing on Chechen gunmen and the Russian Cossacks. The same Cossacks, who under the “command” of State Duma Deputy V. Vodolatskiy cannot protect their women and children from attacks of Chechen “state-Kadyrov's” terrorists committing abuse. They also try to find an ideological ground for mass violence and murder of “brothers-Ukrainians” — returning of taken away by the Bolsheviks in 1922 lands, which once again testifies: “Kremlin deputies” are direct descendants of Lenin and Stalin.

P.S. Such is the national policy that P Kh (Petersburg's Khlopchyk (Ukr. for “Boy”) leads in the South and East of Ukraine. And no plans and tasks for the puppet “Crimean government” to solve real political, linguistic, social, housing, land and educational problems of the Crimean Tatars and other peoples.
